Description: International distributor of microscopy supplies and equipment and chemicals for light microscopy, electron microscopy and histology

Since our beginning over 25 years ago, Electron Microscopy Sciences has specialized in the manufacturing, preparation and distribution of the highest quality laboratory chemicals and microscopy supplies and equipment for electron microscopy, light microscopy, and histology. EMS’s quality products, competitive pricing, and hard work has earned the company an outstanding name as a manufacturer and distributor in the microscopy and histology community.

Stacie Kirsch, owner and President, is a well-known specialist in the field of specimen preparation for both biology and materials microscopy. She has served on the council of the Microbeam Analysis Society and EMS is a sustaining member of numerous microscopy and histology societies including the Microscopy Society of America, Microscopy Society of Canada, the Israel Society of Microscopy, and the European Microscopy Society.

EMS carries an extensive collection of products and adds new products frequently based on customer input. We are committed to helping our valued customers use the most advanced products in their laboratories.

Chemicals for microscopy include buffers, fixatives, stains, resins, embedding media, and immunogold labeling reagents. For materials science we offer cutting, grinding, and polishing equipment and supplies as well as dimplers, electropolishers, and micro cleaves for TEM thin film preparation.

The histology and tissue preparation section includes high precision vibrating microtomes that deliver perfect sections, tissue baths, vortex mixers, rotators, plunge freezers, cryo preparation accessories, diamond knives, and supplies for tissue fixation, embedding, sectioning, staining, and analysis. The EMS LYNX II automated batch mode tissue processing system for EM and histology processing is compatible with all plastic resins and paraffin waxes.

The electron microscopy product line is extensive and includes tungsten filaments, Lab6 and CeB6 cathodes, grids, silicone nitride films, adhesives, and mounts as well as SEM cryo-preparation systems, sample coaters, carbon evaporators, freeze driers, and critical point driers. Also available are general laboratory supplies such as ultrasonic cleaners, tweezers, hot plates, stirrers, specimen labels, and more.

For more information on the our products use the links to our online catalog in English in the list to the right. You may also order a paper catalog or our brand new e-book CD-ROM version of our catalog for 2008-2010.
