These men were solely responsible for the genocides associated with their names. It was their decision that led to Holocaust, Genocides and Massacres.

It takes one to start or to stop these attrocities, had the people surrounding these men stopped them, the world would have been different.

Indeed, we the good people are responsible for these crimes. Some times a simple word "NO" would stop one from doing bad things, perhaps you may have stopped doing a bad thing because someone had said NO. How many times have you walked away doing nothing when some one was mugged, raped, beaten up or abused? Should others do the same to you if you were in that situation?

It was not their religion that caused them to do these evil things, religion is created to wean people away from doing evil things, and we need to hold our eagerness to blame the religion. Religion is not the culprit, it is the messed up individual.

The least you can do is speak up, write up or discourage one from saying ill things about others. If you are a Palestinian, stop some one from denigrating Jews, and if you are a Jew, don't enjoy some one bashing a Palestinian, stop them. Are we honest enough?

I would like to add all the verifiable mass killings (between 1900-2010), I know there are several major items missing here, when you send the info or when I get the time, I will update it. (Note: the crimes committed by right-wing dictators have always been easier to track down than the crimes against humanity committed by communist leaders, so the figures for communist leaders like Stalin and Mao increase almost yearly as new secret documents become available. To this day, the Chinese government has not yet disclosed how many people were executed by Mao's red guards during the Cultural Revolution and how many people were killed in Tibet during the Chinese invasion of 1950. We also don't know how many dissidents have been killed by order of Kim Il Sung in North Korea, although presumably many thousands). Main sources:
