Description: Meet Hannah Miley. Personal bests, facts, statistics, medals and competition records for British and Scottish swimmer Hannah Miley.
With a sixth place finish on her Olympic debut at Beijing 2008 and fourth places at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and 2009 World Championships, Hannah Miley was in danger of becoming the nearly woman of the British Swimming team.
But after landing her first international title with 400m Individual Medley gold at the 2009 European Short Course Championships in Istanbul, she has steadily built an impressive medal collection.
Miley's first individual long course gold came over 400m Individual Medley at the 2010 European Championships in Budapest. She made light work of adding the Commonwealth title later in 2010 then stormed to silver in the same event at the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai.
After making both the 200m and 400m Individual Medley finals at London 2012, she returned to the international podium in emphatic style with a gold and two silvers at the 2012 European Short Course Championships then a gold and a bronze medal at the 2012 World Short Course Champs.
She won an eighth consecutive British 400m Individual Medley title in 2013 to qualify for her third World Championships in Barcelona where she equalled her London 2012 performance to finish fifth over 400m IM.
After a relatively quiet start to 2014, Miley returned to the top of the international podium in style, clocking her fastest time for five years to defend her Commonwealth 400m IM title in front of a home crowd at Glasgow 2014, then adding 200m IM bronze a few days later.
