This hotel was fantastic, all the staff were helpful, have personality and are smiley! It is important to note that this Hotel is set into the cliffs; therefore has multi stairs/lifts, it is accessible but for those with walking or mobility issues you may want to think carefully (In fairness much of the island is the same). This very fact means you get beautiful views across the bay.

Our room was well appointed, with fridge, comfortable bed, free safe, good wardrobe space, Tv, Sofa and AC. Our AC was not the best, we did tell recption and someone cleaned the filters, having said that it was never hot in the room, but could have been a couple of degrees cooler for our taste, also the sofa was not the most comfortable, but these are minor things. The room was clean (I'm slightly OCD). Shower and bath were good, and the bathroom was well appointed. There was a balcony area (despite being on the 'ground floor' although this was not especially private. The gardens are stunning and well maintained. The cleaners were very discreet but clearly were characters!

For our tastes the food at the buffet was brilliant (we use Michelin star restaurants as benchmarks), although not quite to that standard, it was varied, tasty and great quality! The restaurant staff were charismatic and helpful yet professional. Food options would accomadate 99% of folks too. Top tip is to consider milk options for breakfast as their UHT is odd tasting, I preferred Soya anyway but you will not quite achieve an 'English' brew. Greek options are available, traditionalists would still have options too. It would be easy to put a good few pounds of weight on as its all so tempting, and those desserts are incredible! Additionally we were amazed by the language skills of the staff I think we heard every European language at some point, there was a lot of German, Greek and English spoken though!

Swimming areas are well presented we always had sun beds available, the water was clean and refreshingly cool, the main bar area is tastefully designed with helpful and attentive staff. Food in the bar area at lunch was lovely, and fair value; in fact the portions are a bit much when you've had a good breakfast! Make sure you ask to share if you want a lighter option! Ask for their 'special cocktail' in the evening! The view from the bar area is absolutely beautiful too.

The entertainment was varied, but at worst ok, at best amazing! The Jersey tones on our penultimate night were out of this world amazing! The bars manager clearly only allows the best to entertain at this hotel!

We used the spa facilities; although our expectations were different, we were till impressed. The massages we had were lovely, and the ladies who delivered this were excellent and the sauna was great. The steam room was odd in the fact it was cavernous. I was hoping for a jacuzzi and lounge area looking over the sea, but nice nonetheless.

We used the WIFI throughout our stay, it is good in some areas, but could be intermittent at times in our room.

Although clam, relaxing and professional if you are looking for a really quiet hotel, this is not small and boutique. However it is towards the top of my tolerance level (we like small and quiet hotels) this was never an issue though. Our room was quiet just communial areas could be fairly busy at times, the restaurant could be busy in the evenings, but it was all professional managed.

The hotel is close to the beach, and has its own private beach which a mix of stones and sand, there is wifi in this area with waiter drinks service! There is a small shop in walking distance, calling it a 'supermarket' would be a stretch, but it has the essentials. The bay has fantastic cystal clear water perfect for those who want to swim. There is another restaurant near the beach, we never tried it though.

As we booked through Thompson, we took an excursion to Symi (and Rhodes briefly). Symi is superb (I'm running out of superlatives) it is is stunning and beautiful! The trip is a long day, but well worth the effort, sample the restaurants and soak up the pic your postcode views.

Lindos is accessible on the service bus (single tickets only apparently) we caught it from the top of the hill outside the hotel. It's 10-15 mins trip, take your walking shoes, water, a hat and money. It's a great Greek place to go, whether you use the Donkey's to climb to the Acropolis at the top. This views here are great, but we found the history in the north west of the island the most interesting.

We hired a car (from hotel) which is recommended as we dropped our car off at the airport which made life easier. Greeks version of road safety is none existent, and the roads are narrow, so be warned! The roads are dusty, and unfinished in places with tight bends and steep hills, great for a confident driver only! It is worth it though; some fantastic places, try seven springs and westerly coast roads as they are quiet and stunning. East and north is more commercial. It was apparent that Greek's financial issues effected road maintenance and locals were clearly struggling, all the more reason to visit and support their tourism industry!

Airport is fairly small, and I wasn't impressed with the toilets, ambient temperature or staff but can't have everything!

A very impressive hotel who facilitated a near perfect, well deserved holiday, thank you to all the staff for a fantastic time in a lovely place.
