Turn off and unplug your television. Turn the TV around so the back of the television is facing you.
Unplug the antenna from your television. Use a small screwdriver to loosen the screws holding the antenna leads in place, if the antenna is not coaxial-based.
If the antenna doesn't have a coaxial end, place the antenna leads into the screws of a 300-ohm matching transformer. Tighten the screws with a small screwdriver. Plug the coaxial end of the transformer into the "RF In" port on the back of the Soniq set top box.
Plug one end of a piece of coaxial cable into the "RF Loop Through" port on the back of the Soniq set top box.
Plug the coaxial cable attached to the RF modulator into the "Antenna In" port on the back of your TV. Skip to step 11. If your TV doesn't have a coaxial port, proceed to the next step.
Place the antenna leads end of the 300-ohm matching transformer under the antenna screws on the back of your television.
Place your television's channel selector to channel "3" or "4"--whichever one is not used in your area. You should see a box on the screen with the following wording: "First Time Installation." This message is being transmitted from the Soniq set top box. If you don't see the message, change your television's channel or check the connections.
Select "Yes" on the Soniq set top box's remote control. Select "OK" to start the set top box installation process.
Select "Yes" to start the channel scanning process. The Soniq set top box will scan for channels in your area and return to the first channel it finds when the process is complete.
